Symmetrical Wool Jacket


Fully lined wool chore jacket. Falls just below the waist with a slightly boxy fit.

I’d never worked with a checkered fabric before this project. committing to a symmetrical design made the cutting process a huge challenge for me. I also found the silk-like cupro lining to be difficult to work with, especially when easing the fabric around the armholes.

I learned a lot through creating this garment, and overall am very happy with how it came out. If I could make one change it would be to have cut the patch pockets on the bias to add some visual appeal.
