Throughout the American south, various species of invasive climbing vines have drastically altered the makeup of local ecosystems.

The vines grow rapidly up into trees’ canopies, blocking out light to the forest floor, and ultimately smothering and killing the host trees. Man made objects and buildings also provide surfaces where the vines can thrive.

This project aims to capture the resulting newly formed landscapes.
